Brief History

Beth Ohr was founded on the Feast of Shavuot, of 2006 with 5 people in a living room in Ellerslie, Georgia. At the moment, Beth Ohr was originally named Hadarek Kol Hamashiach, which means, “The Way and The Voice of The Messiah”. Initially the group started out very traditional in practice, for our Congregational Leader came out of the Orthodox movement. In November of 2006, Rabbi Hawkins had an experience with the Ruach HaKodesh that would forever change his life. Since then, The Father has been stripping him more and more of his traditional ways, as he continues to seek out the scriptures. Since then, we resided in Columbus, Georgia.
In the fall of 2013, after many years of praying, the Father finally opened the door for us to start a fellowship in the Opelika/Auburn area.
We are a multi-cultural and diverse congregation, with individuals from many different backgrounds. Our future lies with YHVH and wherever He may lead us.
