Covid-19 Updates: May 1, 2020

Friday May 01, 2020 Update:

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey said a stay-at-home order which expired on April 30, will convert to a “safer-at-home” order. The Safer at Home order went into effect on April 30th at 5 p.m. and expires May 15th.

While some congregation are choosing to reopen with social distancing guidelines, we however feel that it is too soon to reopen, as Alabama’s Covid-19 cases continue to go up. When we begin to see the numbers go down, then we will re-evaluate when and how we will reopen. Our hosting Church is also not ready to reopen yet, so we also have to wait upon their reopening before we proceed.

We will continue to heed the advise of wise counsel of our medical community both in our communities and within our congregation. We will continue to be closed for the time being and continue to gather together ONLINE through Zoom. Our schedule for both Saturday services and Tuesday Night Bible Study remain the same, and any Rosh Chodesh or Feast Dates remain the same, with the exception that we will be holding the Feast Celebrations ONLINE within the home setting for the time being, until any further notice.
